Madra –

With its origins in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, this dish is mainly made of Chikpeas & / or vegetables. Dhaam –

Its a plate full of delicious delicacies that are a must-serve on occasions and festivals across the state. Tudkiya Bath –

Babru –

Himachal have added a unique answer to the popular Kachoris in north India. Babru is a kind of flat bread that’s prepared with the stuffing of black gram dal paste which is added to kneaded dough. It’s best served with Tamarind chutney.

Mittha –

Mittha is known as the sweet dish of Himachal Pradesh that’s usually prepared during occasions. It’s made out of sweetened rice mixed along with dry fruits and raisins.

Bhey or Spicy Lotus Stem –

Bhey is a delicious dish which is cooked with lotus stems & is quite the favourite in most of the households across the state. The stems are thinly sliced & cooked in ginger/garlic paste along with onions & gram flour bringing out unique flavours & a great taste to the dish.

Chha Gosht –

Its a scrumptious dish prepared with the marinated lamb which is further cooked in the gravy of gram flour and yogurt. This dish packs a variety of spices including crushed cloves & cardamom along wit asafoetida to make the perfect delicious lamb curry.

Kullu Trout Fish –

Famously found in the freshwater of the rivers of Himachal Pradesh, the Trout can be cooked in many ways, which means you could either have it fried, baked or even in a curry. The marinated Trout is cooked in the minimal spices to keep the nutrients and the original taste of Trout intact. Trout is not only delicious but also quite healthy too.
